Very few Israelis have not heard of Chasdei Naomi. They are like the US Salvation Army and have been for approximately forty years. Chasdei Naomi has helped tens of thousands of Israelis over the last forty years and they continue to do so day after day under all circumstances.
Imagine being asleep at home on a Shabbat (Saturday) morning and waking up to the sound of rocket strikes. To make matters worse, homes being invaded by terrorists that came to kill or abduct as many Jews as they could. This was the nightmare that hundreds of Jews faced in southern Israel this past Shabbat (Saturday) morning on the Holiday of Simchat Torah! It was the worst and most brutal Hamas attack ever! They killed over 900 people and took more than 100 captives, many of them Jews. It was such a blatant act of terrorism that the entire world has been unable to deny it. Most nations have said that they stand in solidarity with Israel.
Hamas operatives literally pulled innocent people right out of their homes! Women, children, and entire families. They even took citizens of other nations as they have no regard for human life. They exhibited such inhumane behavior, that they took videos of their brutality and made celebrations with them.
This horrible attack was made after over two solid years of Israel providing Gazans with work permits and other benefits in order for them to work in Israel where salaries are typically up to 10 times higher than what they are in Gaza. All this was part of Israel’s attempt to boost the Gaza economy and promote peace. This is part of the reason that Israel was so surprised by the attack.
At this point, many governments have concluded that Hamas needs to be destroyed as they have no interest in ever living in peace with Israel. In light of this situation, we ask for your support and individual pledge, to stand in solidarity with Israel via an outstanding organization called Chasdei Naomi.
They have lists of the names of all the families that they help currently and have helped over the past forty years. They know each family and they make every effort to meet the individual needs of each one of them.
