Ruth Weissfish of Beit Shemesh went public with her family’s story this week, in an effort to help her son Natan get medication which could save his life.
Natan was diagnosed at four months old with a rare condition which makes it impossible for him to breathe, drink, or eat independently. He is attached to a machine at all times which provides him with oxygen and nutrition.
Ruth recently started an emergency campaign with the hopes of receiving life-saving treatments for him in the United States. The treatments would open his airway, allowing him to live the life of a normal child.
The need for the treatments has become significantly more urgent now as Natan has unexpectedly taken a severe turn for the worse. He is now in the emergency room at Hadassah Ein Kerem, where he is unconscious and attached to a large breathing machine. His parents are currently at his bedside, praying for his recovery.
Their need to get him to America is now more urgent than ever. They cannot possibly afford the fees, however, without help. Those who wish to help are urged to donate here as soon as possible.
In the meantime the family asks that klal yisroel continue to pray for Natan Yaakov Ben Rut, for a refua shalema b’karov.
