In honor of the publishing of the new book “The Palace on Chazon Ish 5”, Friedman edition, a small Le’chaim was held in Rav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman’s Zt”l home. Participating were his Sons, Close friends amongst other Rabbis and Heads of different institutions. The Sefer was sponsored by Rav Chaim Hershey Friedman of Montreal, Canada.
The evening started with the words of the moderator, Rav Moshe Tzvi Winetrub. He spoke about Aharon Hakohen, who after he passed, the Torah does not mention he was mourned for by all of Bnei Yisrael. The reason for this is because he was a peacemaker and whenever anyone fought they were immediately reminded of him. Rav Wintetrub then continued to speak more heartfelt words about Rav Shteinman. He ended by inviting the artist, Rav Yoel Waxberger who spoke about the new book and his excitement to help create a book which will commemorate Rav Shteinman’s holy legacy.
Afterwards Rav Hershey Friedman was invited to speak. He spoke of the tremendous merit he has had to sponsor the publishing of this book and of his excitement for every visit of his with the Rav. The Rav had had taught him about the importance and merits of those who support the Torah world and of the right attitude towards money.
Following him spoke the Rav’s son, Rav Moshe Shteinman. He spoke of his Father’s dislike of publicity, but now, after his death, many are learning from his ways and are being strengthened by his personality.
Towards the end Rav Moshe Tzvi Winetrub and the Vishnitz choir sang a grammen about Rav Shteinmn and his deeds. The evening was closed by the words of Rav Yanky Klein, Son in law of Rav Hershey Friedman who ended by recognizing the great merit his family had in commemorating Rav Shteinman’s Legacy and blessed his father in law with the hope Rav Shteinman will be his “Melitz Yosher” in the world to come.
Participating in the event were the sons of Rav Shraga Zt”l Rosh Yeshiva “Orchot Torah”, Rav Moshe, Rosh Yeshiva of “Ateret Shlomo” for youth in Jerusalem, Rav Itamar Garbuz, one of the heads of “Orchot Torah”, and other Heads and public figure close to the Rav.
