One of greatest minds in the last century, the Ben Ish Chai, describes Tu B’Shvat as a day of love and an auspicious time to merit a shidduch.
This Tu B’Shvat, Shas For Shidduchim utilizes the day’s powerful zchusim to help Klal Yisroel’s singles find their match. The 24-hour quest will unite hundreds of lomdim to complete shas on behalf of Jewish singles nationwide – all under one roof.
To participate, individuals can sponsor a daf or mesechta for the zchus of finding a shidduch for one’s self, friend or family member. Beginning shkiah on the night of Tu B’Shvat, a lomed learns his reserved blatt with the sponsor’s name(s) in mind. Upon completion of all 2,711 blatt, a Siyum HaShas will be held, featuring a catered seudas mitzvah, live music, dancing and divrei bracha.
All proceeds will be donated exclusively for the mitzvah of hachnosas kallah, helping ease the financial burden for kallahs.
A project of the Chicago Chesed Fund under the leadership of HaRav Shmuel Fuerst, Shas For Shidduchim aims to help solve the polarizing shidduch crisis that burden’s individuals, families and communities each day.
