“What’s this book that everyone is talking about?” Asked Moshe, a young talented executive while entering the seforim store in Lakewood looking for a Bar-Mitzva gift for his neighbor’s son.
“Your life”, laughingly answered the tall yungerman who overheard his question and was probably running late for night-seder.
“My life?” Moshe asked, “What are you talking about?”
“Around a month ago I was looking for a Chizuk sefer for my oldest son… you know, he’s having a tough time with yidishkite… and someone recommended this book… I’m not sure who needed this more, my son or myself!” Answered the unknown yungerman, already leaving the store.
“But what does this Emunah stuff have to do with my life?” Moshe asked.
“Well… it’s about your life and mine… and every yid out there… it’s a sefer that actually talks about the true meaning in your life!”
Moshe was obviously skeptical while opening the book… but it eventually changed his life… for good!
On the way back home on-board the 002 ELAL flight, Avrohom Dov couldn’t think of anything beside the new translation of the massive bestseller in Israel called “Sichos Nefesh”.
Although he was tired and hungry, as his stomach couldn’t handle the Glatt Kosher food on the plane, he kept reading on and on.
“Ok, so what do I actually believe in? I though my emunah was ok… but is it so? In what do I really believe?” Thought Avrohom Dov as the captain announced something about turbulence… again.
By the end of the flight, he knew his life would not be the same.
His best friend Avi told him while giving him the book as a goodbye present, “It’s the best present you’ll receive in your life!” And he was right. 100% right.
Lounges and restaurants. Shiduchim. Yep, again and again… After dating for two years and countless segulas, Hannah Lea reluctantly went on a freezing raining day to the seforim store in Brooklyn to buy something inspiring.
“I’m looking for something out-of-the-box please, something special… entertaining and easy reading but also with a real message that will make a difference. Do you have such a book?” She asked while entering the perfectly heated store during the cold NY winter.
Today, after finally finding her Bashert and building a remarkable Jewish home, she knows that a small book was the real segula for her change in life.
She started believing,
She started living with meaning,
Living in the Emunah Reality!
Who This Book is For
This is a book for anyone willing to think or rethink his perceptions of emunah.
It is for people who grew up as observant Jews and want to refresh their knowledge of the basic tenets of emunah. It’s for men and women in the workforce or at home who feel distracted by the demands and responsibilities of daily life and want to better connect to their emunah. It’s for kollel avreichim, talmidei chachamim and educators who are looking for new ways to get through to their students.
In addition, it’s for those who sense a void in their Jewish education or have discovered Judaism later in life. It’s for jaded and angry teenagers flirting with going “off the derech” and picked it up to give Judaism one last chance. And it’s for those who’ve already gone off the derech and are now trying to figure out life.
Finally, it is for any Jew seeking a happier, richer, more inspired, and more meaningful life.
