DO JEWS STILL HAVE RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IN AMERICA? EXPERTS TO DISCUSS MONDAY NIGHT IN NYC

Next Monday night, June 12, the Tikvah Fund will host a special program open to the public, The Future Of Religious Liberty. The event will take place at Tikvah’s headquarters at 165 East 56th Street in New York City, and begin at 6:30PM.

The program will feature Ryan Anderson of the Heritage Foundation and Daniel Mark of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, who will provide an overview of the ongoing debate and address how the American Jewish community can help protect and preserve its religious freedoms.

Both speakers are among the country’s top experts on the topic. Anderson is the author of “What is Marriage? Man and Woman: A Defense”, among other books. He has appeared on ABC, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and Fox News, and has had writings published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.

Mark is an assistant professor of political science at Villanova University. He also serves on the nine-member, bipartisan United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, to which he was appointed by former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, John Boehner. He holds a BA, MA, and PhD from the Department of Politics at Princeton University.

While most Tikvah programming is by application only, Monday night’s event is the second in the organization’s ongoing evening lecture series, “Torah Jews in America: Political Ideas for the Future.” Registration is free and open to men and women, at http://evenings.tikvahfund.org. Parking fees for those attending the event will be reimbursed upon request.
