Magen David Adom Hatzalah volunteers from the southern district visited the Ashdod home of the Pittsburg Rebbe Shlita last week to receive a bracha from the rebbe.

The rebbe gave his bracha to the volunteers as well as MDA and Hatzalah Southern District, as well as Hatzalah S. District Commander Rav Mendy Schwartz. The rebbe received an explanation of the activities of the Hatzalah volunteers. Four automated defibrillators were distributed to volunteers during the event as well.

Rav Schwartz led the delegation along with members of the organization’s directorate, Moti Weber, Meir Ashkenazi and Yossi Tzemach.

Rav Schwartz explained to the rebbe about the activities of the volunteers, adding since an agreement was signed between Hatzalah Southern District and MDA, there has been an unprecedented level of cooperation, citing MDA sets the medical protocol and the rabbonim guide volunteers pertaining to matters of halacha.

Rabbi Schwartz added there was ongoing cooperation between his organization in the south and other chareidi Hatzalah branches including Petach Tikvah, Beit Shemesh, Modi’in Illit, Kfar Chabad, Hatzalah Northern District, Yavniel, Rehovot, Betar Illit, Meron and others”.
