Dear Friend,
Bill de Blasio’s partnership with our community and its leaders to fight for numerous issues of importance to our families and neighborhoods has gone on for over 13 years of his public life.
Bill fought for us when City Hall fought to take away Priority V and Priority VII child care vouchers that are so important to many families of our community, and has vowed to restore them as Mayor.
Bill helped stop New York City from deploying Sanitation trucks at the same time our Yeshivas’ school buses were bringing our children to school and kept the Sanitation department from charging our mosdos fees for services that should come without charge.
In 2007, Bill intervened to allow Ohel’s benefit concert to go on despite the ongoing strike on Broadway and got the union to back to work for free during the concert.
Bill helped secure land for the new Hatzalah of Boro Park garage and his door as a Councilman and as Public Advocate was always open to our community every day.
Our community has many homeowners and Bill promised to remove hidden taxes tacked on to our water bills.
Our community has many business owners and Bill promised to undo what Mayor Bloomberg has done with the crippling fines and penalties given to businesses for the sake of generating revenue.
Most importantly, Bill has been constant and consistent in his honor, integrity, and friendship to the Jewish community, and we have always been able to talk to him, day and night, about issues facing our community.
For these reasons and many more, I believe that Bill de Blasio should be the next Mayor of New York City, and we should support his candidacy today at the voting booth without reservation.
Please take 5 minutes of your time today and go out and vote Bill de Blasio for Mayor of New York City. Polls are open today from 6am till 9pm.
Your Friend
