Authorities say seven people, including 2 police officers, suffered minor injuries following a police pursuit of a vehicle.
Police say Atlantic Avenue was shut down in the vicinity of the accident, which occurred at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say the pursuit began in Queens and crossed into Brooklyn after police received a report that the vehicle may have been involved in a hit-and-run.
They say the vehicle ran a red light and later struck a BMW stopped at a light at Atlantic and Van Siclen avenues. That caused the unmarked police vehicle to run into the suspect’s car.
Five people in the BMW, the suspect and two police officers sustained minor injuries.
There were no other people in the suspect’s car.
No charges were immediately filed.
