Police say a Queens councilman’s house was broken into over the weekend.

They say Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer was on vacation at the time of Saturday’s burglary.

Police say a neighbor noticed that the front door of the Sunnyside home had been pried open and called police.

Van Bramer told the New York Post that a bike, cash and his mother’s jewelry was stolen.

Police also said that items from cabinets and closets were dumped on the floor.

Van Bramer’s district covers Long Island City and Astoria.
