The NYPD is investigation a crash between a city bus and a motorcyclist who was killed.

The collision occurred around 1 a.m. Tuesday in Queens at the intersection of Springfield Boulevard and Union Turnpike.

Police say the bus, traveling northbound, had a green light when it entered the intersection. They say the Yamaha motorcycle went through a red light and struck the bus.

The motorcyclist, 21-year-old Mauricio Galdamez of Queens, was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
