A weak low pressure over the mid-Atlantic region and an associated warm front will lift into the area today bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms. No severe weather is expected at this time.

Precipitation:

· Rain becoming more likely in the afternoon and tapering off this evening.
· Total accumulation of between 1 ½ to 2 inches of rain is possible, with localized heavier amounts possible depending on where showers and thunderstorms train.
· Rainfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour for brief periods are possible.

Winds:

· Sustained southerly winds of 5-10 miles an hour.

Flooding:

· Flooding is possible in low lying and poor drainage areas.
