Police say an off-duty police officer gun downed his wife on a street in Queens before shooting himself.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Wednesday near their home on Camden Avenue in Hollis.

Police say the wife, a 46-year-old off-duty school safety agent, was shot multiple times and taken to Queens General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The 33-year-old police officer was later found in his home with a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A gun was recovered.

The names of the two victims have not yet been released.
