The New York City Health Department is examining a white powder that was sent in an envelope to a judge on Staten Island.
Sources say civil court Judge Kim Dollard received the letter in her chambers Tuesday afternoon.
The courthouse was on lockdown for several hours while police and the FBI investigated.
The judge and seven other employees were decontaminated.
Eventually, it was determined that the powder was not dangerous, but the room where the letter was opened will be quarantined for at least a couple of days.
