It will be hot and humid with southerly winds through Sunday. Showers with embedded thunderstorms possible on Sunday with 1/2 inch to 1 inch of rainfall.

Precipitation and Timing

Showers with embedded thunderstorms in the New York City area are expected Sunday night, could start early Sunday afternoon, bringing ½ to 1 inch of rainfall. Locally heavier rainfall amounts are possible, however, severe weather is not expected this weekend.
