Dozens gathered at SUNY Downstate in East Flatbush today to talk about plans to save the financially troubled Long Island College Hospital (LICH).

The cash-strapped hospital was on the chopping block, but was spared after the community rallied to save it.

Officials must now deliver a sustainability plan to the state Department of Health and the governor’s office.

The plan must be submitted by June 1.
