FDNY reports a fire on the 2nd floor rear of a 13 story 350 x 100. The building is under construction and is to be the new Police Academy.

The FDNY staging area is located on 31st Ave and College Point Blvd.

The fire was ignited by construction work.

There are no reported injuries and all construction personnel have been evacuated from the building.
