New York City is planning to install new information and advertising kiosks with interactive display screens in its subway system this summer.

The New York Times reports that up to 120 of the stainless steel kiosks will begin appearing in 19 subway stations in the next few months.

The kiosks will replace some of the poster-size maps in the subway system.

The display screens will measure 46 inches. With a tap of the screen, the MTA says riders will have maps, service status, trip planning and other services at their fingertips.

Called “On the Go!” the kiosks are designed by Antenna Design, the designers of the MetroCard vending machines.
