The New York City police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who escaped from a detention facility in the Bronx.

Police identified him as 18-year-old Quentin Stroman. They say he escaped from the facility at 3615 White Plains Road on Saturday shortly before 4 p.m.

He was being held there by court order in lieu of jail in connection with an assault on a man trying to break up a dispute on March 8.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800 577-TIPS.
