fdnyA man that authorities say started a fire that caused the death of five people in a New York City apartment building has been convicted of second degree murder and other charges.

Prosecutors say Daniel Ignacio was convicted Tuesday of five counts of second degree murder, one count of fourth degree arson and other charges in the January 2010 blaze.

Prosecutors have also charged the building owners in the fire.
