Former New York Mayor Ed Koch (KAHCH’) is back in the hospital for the third time in recent months.
Spokesman George Arzt says Koch went to the hospital around 10 p.m. Saturday with swollen ankles.
He says Koch “sounded great” when they spoke Sunday and that Koch says it’s “nothing serious.”
It’s unclear when he will be released.
Arzt says Koch didn’t look well at lunch with former aides on Saturday afternoon. He was at dinner with friends Saturday night, including a doctor who recommended he seek medical attention.

No one will cry when this old Kofer dies
To No. 1: I do not like Mr. Koch, either, but you should not be disrespectful of someone who is ill (or, for that matter, someone who is healthy).
Is anybody out there not sure how to pronounce the former mayor’s last name? Those parentheses on line #2 are really not necessary.
