Tonight: Rain and wintry precipitation developing late this evening and spread across the region overnight. Coastal areas may see a mix of rain, sleet and snow after midnight. Liquid accumulation of ½ inch expected with locally higher amounts possible. Snowfall accumulation is expected to be few tenths of an inch to a maximum of ½ of an inch in the northern areas of Manhattan and The Bronx Wednesday: Precipitation will continue as light rain with the possibility of some sleet and light snow before transitioning to all rain by noon. Rain in the afternoon hours could be moderate at times and all precipitation is expected to taper off by the early evening.
WINDS
Overnight tonight: Sustained winds out of the north/northeast 5-10 MPH, may see stray gusts of 15 MPH-20 MPH. Tomorrow: Northeast sustained winds 10-15 MPH, late morning hours have the potential for brief periods of gusts at 15 – 20 MPH. Winds are expected to diminish as the day goes on. Wednesday: 5 – 10 MPH shifting to the west.
