Police have identified a charred body found along the Brooklyn shoreline as that of a 14-year-old girl reported missing.

Police say Shaniesha Forbes’ body was discovered on the beach at the south end of Gerritsen Avenue in Gerritsen Beach on Sunday. She had burns on her hands, arms and legs.

Police say the Brooklyn teenager was last seen on Friday and reported missing the next day.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.
