Two people are in the hospital after they were hit by a bus near the Manhattan Bridge late Monday. It happened at Bowery and Canal Street on the Lower East Side around 11 p.m.

Both victims were taken to Cornell Hospital where one is in critical condition.

It’s unclear what led to the accident.

Police do not expect to file any charges against the driver.
