Bagpipes played and dozens of cops cheered as the first of three officers shot in Thursday night’s mayhem was released Friday morning after being treated for a minor bullet wound at Lutheran Medical Center.

Officer Michael Levay, 27, was shot in the back when he and his partner confronted a straphanger aboard a Manhattan-bound N train that was nearing the Fort Hamilton Parkway station, at Fort Hamilton Parkway and 62nd Street, about 7:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

On his release from the hospital the next morning, Levay gave the jubilant crowd a thumbs-up and said simply, “Nice to be going home.”
