After years of neglect, work is about to begin to repair the crumbling New Jersey section of the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
Repaving crews could be on the job later this month or early August, said Steve Schapiro, spokesman for New Jersey’s Department of Transportation.
The agency is picking up the $11.2 million tab because the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, the road’s owner, doesn’t have the money to fix it.
