At approximately 8:30PM on Sunday evening, Ramapo Police responded to Albert Drive in Monsey to investigate a motor vehicle accident. The investigation on scene revealed that a two-year-old male child had run from his house on Albert Drive out into the roadway in front of an oncoming 2011 Toyota Camry and was struck. The child immediately ran back to his home.
The child suffered minor injuries to his face and was tended to on scene by Hatzoloh Ambulance. The child was transported to Westchester Medical Center via Hatzoloh Ambulance for further medical evaluation.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and was interviewed by responding officers. The incident is currently under investigation. At this time no traffic summonses were issued.
