A Rockland County Court jury has convicted a Spring Valley man on two counts of armed robbery and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in connection with a knifepoint robbery in Spring Valley.
Andrew Baxter, 30, of 37 Memorial Park Drive in Spring Valley faces between 10 and 25 years in state prison when sentenced on July 22. He remains in the Rockland County Jail.
On June 26, 2012, Baxter and co-defendant Paul Giddens, 32, of 12 Aeslin Drive in Spring Valley robbed the Pitstop Deli on South Central Avenue in Spring Valley.
The jury came back with its guilty verdict in Baxter’s trial in one hour. The trial lasted three days.
Giddens was previously convicted in April of felony counts of robbery and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.
Supervising Assistant District Attorney Dominic Crispino prosecuted the case.
