  1. Wow, this is really important; Israeli politics that is none of our business. The Novominsker Rebbe zt”l already clarified that this has nothing to do with us in America; just another excuse for bittul Torah. In any event, many of the most prominent gedolim are in favor of voting in the elections, so what’s the point of all this propaganda?

  2. It’s amazing, for like the 1st time in a long while theres a Machlokes between the Gedolim in Chutz Laaretz and in Eretz Yisroel within the same circle (Torahdik Ashkenaz). On one side is this article, and on the other side you have Hagoan Shmuel Kaminetzsky, Hagoan Avraham Gurvich of Gateshead, and some others. As well as in Eretz Yisroel Hagoan Yitzhak Berkowitz Rosh Yeshiva of Aisha supports voting in the election. We live in a time with lots of confusion of what’s the best way to serve Hashem. And yet thru all of the confusion, there’s something special about having different opinions in the lens of the Torah to serve Hashem properly. אלו ואלו דברי אלוקים חיים!

  3. @smma – So are you spearheading the effort to print a new Shas without any of Beis Shamai’s or Daas Yochid’s opinion; only that of the Man d’Amar according to whom the psak follows?
