Ontario Premier Doug Ford Pulls U.S. Liquor, Slaps 25% Tax on Electricity Exports Amid Tariff Threats


Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced the removal of American liquor from stores and a 25% export tax on Canadian electricity powering 1.5 million homes in Minnesota, Michigan, and New York. Ford also threatened to cut off energy exports from an Ontario nuclear plant supplying several U.S. states if President Trump raises tariffs on Canada.
