A coordinated response by Chaverim of Rockland, Tallman, Suffern, Mahwah NJ Fire Departments, and Ramapo Police prevented a kitchen fire at 12 Alpha Lane from causing extensive damage Wednesday evening. The swift action of Chaverim volunteers was instrumental in containing and extinguishing the blaze.
