An El Al flight from Bangkok declared an emergency situation after discovering that two of its tires had ripped during take-off. Dozens of firefighters and emergency personnel were on stand-by at Ben-Gurion Airport for a scheduled 1:00 am landing on Wednesday. Boruch Hashem, the plane landed safely, and no injuries were reported. (Ynet)

Later news reports reported that it was not that two tires got ripped off but that the technicians replaced two wheels and only after the plane took off did they realize they used to wrong model wheels. It was a Boeing 767 so they called Boeing who said that the plane wouldn’t have any problems with the model wheels they used. Still Ben Gurion wanted to play things safe so had firefighters ready but Borach Hashem they were not needed.
