Dozens of Chareidim demonstrated outside Acre Mayor Shimon Lancry’s home, protesting against the construction work at the city’s eastern entrance. The Charedim insist that the bones discovered at the site belonged to Jewish people, despite professional opinions that they belonged to Roman soldiers. Construction on an underground passage resumed last week after the plans had been altered to prevent harming the graves. (Haaretz)

How do charedim know whose bones were discovered? The ramban arrived to E”Y via Acco, but surely more Romans were camped out in this large port city in the years of past.
For all the mavens, tell us how the Jewish skeleton and bones are different from the NISHT YIDDISH VONES!
