A truck has crashed into a bus stop near the Akko train station a short while ago, killing one person R”L, and injuring seven pedestrians, four of them seriously.
MDA paramedics & Ichud Hatzolah were called to the scene where they treated the injured.
Following the accident, the truck’s 30-year-old driver fled the scene, but was stopped and arrested by police shortly after.
Police said the event isn’t being investigated as a terror attack.
UPDATE: Three of the seriously injured are IDF Soldiers.
UPDATE: According to preliminary reports,the driver was drunk. Police said that the truck driver purposely plowed into the people and hit several vehicles during the incident. The motive for the driver’s actions was unknown.
UPDATE: Sources confirm to YWN that the fatality is a 19-year-old IDF Soldier.

The question is, the ethnic identity of the driver. Is he an arab???! The arabs (both, palestinian and Israeli citizens) are known to deliberately crash and make it look like an innocent accident, causing death and injury. They never run out of ideas how to cause mayhem. This is the arab mind. Instead of utilizing their knowledge to create innovations in Medicine and engineering to better humanity, the few skills that they have are all concentrated on creating more, ingenious ways to kill and maim people.
What is with all these tragedies? These soldiers, I just went to a levaya here in Brooklyn,NY for a 10th grader who passed away.(15 years old). Hashem Yishmor.
