An IAF pilot safely ejected earlier today from his Skyhawk fighter Jet after an engine malfunction. The incident occurred over the Ashkelon coast-line. The pilot was picked up from an IDF search & rescue unit a few moments later, transferred to the hospital for a check-up, and is reported to be in good condition. The IAF has opened an investigation into the incident, but has release a statement stating that the pilot acted in accordance with IAF guidelines.
