Israir Airlines is being sued for NIS 116 million for providing misleading information about the distance between seats in its planes. Avraham Speizman claims that Israir presents its Boeing 767-300 ER planes as having 82 centimeters between seats, but the actual distance is 76 centimeters. He claims that Israir says that it offers the greatest legroom in these planes, whereas it has actually added 25 seats, thereby illegally enriching itself at the public’s expense. (Globes)

So they’ll claim it was a typo, or that they haven’t updated their materials. They’re not an official airline, anyways, and, instead are a “Charter” airline.
They are no longer only a charter airline. They won a tender to fly scheduled routes in direct competition to El Al. It’s not a typo if you claim the greatest amount of legroom. There has a to be a degree of corporate responsibility not to make misleading claims to generate more business. Case in point, American Airlines dropped it’s “More Legroom Throughout Coach” advertising campaign after they began adding back in the removed seats because of loss of revenue after 9/11.
While I agree that they shouldn’t falsely advertise, I don’t think this warrants a lawsuit.
If the complainant was a heavy individual and was expecting enough space on his flight, then I think his lawsuit is appropriate. (This could technically have the potential for a class-action lawsuit, being that all traveleres were misled.)
what’s the 116 million for? Did he get hurt, injured in some way?
how sad has world gone why NIS 116 million . he must of been sad to go with a ruler

If he’s suing in an American court he’ll probably win! but if he’s suing in an Israeli court than he’ll probably lose & they’ll make him pay Israir’s lawyer & court fee
Not sure why my previous post was not added but I was making a very valid point. If this was a Yid making the complaint, it is gezeilah. Pure Gezeila – no doubt about it. Serious aveiros are involved here and no one should have any doubt that undertaking such lawsuits and praising those who pursue such sinful schemes (bamkac take note) are enemies of Hashem. Strong language indeed but this has to be said.
