An IDF soldier, was on a routine security patrol when he accidentally entered a field containing IDF landmines near Eilat. Unfortuantly, one of his legs sustained serious injuries and may have to be amputated. He was airlifted to Soroka University Medical Center in Be’er Sheva.

This doesn’t make sense. In the title you wrote he lost his leg, and then in the article you wrote he it “may” have to be amputated.
I hope he is okay and he should have a fast refuah sheleimah.
