Israel Electric Company officials ahead of Tuesday’s oppressive heat-wave is calling on consumers to please limit the use of non-essential appliances between noon and 5:00pm, such as dishwashers, washing machines and other ‘light appliances’ that can be operated before and after peak hours.
Temperatures today, Monday, are above regular seasonable temperatures, accompanied by extremely dry and hot condition and diminished air flow. Tomorrow, Tuesday, the situation is expected to escalate to a sharav heat-wave.
Temperature predictions for Tuesday include Jerusalem 37C (98.6), Tel Aviv 32C (90F), Ein Geidi 45C (113F), Beersheva 42C (114.5 F), Eilat 45C (113F), Haifa 32C (90F), and Tiveria 41C (106F).
