12 patients at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba have been diagnosed with an infection that is resistant to antibiotics. Four of the 12 patients who were diagnosed in the past month have died, but each one of the patients was very sick even before contracting the infection. The bacteria can cause infections in the blood system, urinary tract, and lungs, and mainly affects people with weakened immune systems.
