Deputy Minister Meir Porush, who is also the chairman of Agudas Yisrael, is set to meet with President Shimon Peres on Thursday morning, hours ahead of the planned prison marches scheduled to get underway in Yerushalayim and Bnei Brak, at 1:30PM. While it remains unclear, it appears that Porush has requested that a number of his chareidi lawmaker colleagues accompany him to the meeting.
The Jerusalem march is now set to get underway from the Bar Ilan Bridge, at the intersection of Bar Ilan and Shamgar Streets.
Sources in Bnei Brak are also confirming that Maran Rosh HaYeshiva Maran Rav Shteinman is planning to take part in the Bnei Brak march along with “all rabbonim of the city”.
