Leading officials connected to Israel Bonds visited Jerusalem’s Old City, heading a delegation of 150 prominent North American businesspeople. The group’s leaders requested to visit areas of the capital built after 1967, areas that were occupied by Jordan prior to the Six Day War as well, including Gilo and Ramat Shlomo, apparently in light of the controversy surrounding the international community’s objections to construction in those integral areas of the capital which they view as occupied.
The delegation explained they feel the visit to those areas, areas under dispute, is essential at this time to send a clear message to the Obama administration.
