The Foreign Ministry has released a statement to the media that “Israel expresses grave concern following the publication of the report by the Republic of Korea’s (ROK) investigation team, and international experts who participated in the investigation, which determines that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is responsible for the sinking of the ROK naval vessel Cheonan.

“Israel values the restrained and responsible response of the ROK government, and urges the DPRK to cooperate with the international community and to abstain from actions that undermine the stability and peace effort in North-East Asia as well as in the Middle East.

“The Israeli government expresses sincere condolences to the families of the 46 sailors who lost their lives on the ship.”
