The bus driver responsible for the collision that claimed five lives, leaving dozens injured in the W. Galil was released on bail.
Bahjat Janam, 25, from the Druse community of Sajur, was released on bail to house arrest. It appears he will not face manslaughter charges, which carry maximum prison term of 20 years, but charges of negligent vehicular manslaughter and irresponsible operation of a public vehicle, the daily Yisrael HaYom reports.
Police report the driver of the truck which was struck by the bus will be questioned by police investigators in the coming days.
