As a result of the intervention of the Vaad L’maan Shabbos, a shabbos goods fair held in the Har Tzion area of the capital will not be permitted to operate this coming shabbos.

Officials of the vaad contacted Jerusalem City Hall, only to learn the fair is not at all an official city function and not endorsed by the city, and inspectors are expected to be on hand to prevent the chilul shabbos event which is a violation of the law.
