What began as a fun ride for two yeshiva bochrim from Tzfas in Kibbutz Kadita ended on a less enthusiastic note as they were involved in a vehicular collision resulting in injuries.
The accident occurred on the authorized route, a route used by many a bachur during bein hazmanim but in this case, the two were riding a single ATV and made a dangerous turn, causing the vehicle to flip. The two were transported to Ziff Hospital in Tzfas with one listed in serious condition and the second was more fortunate, escaping with light injuries.
An eyewitness reports he heard the boys calling for help, leading him to believe they were unfamiliar with the area, especially the dangerous curve. They landed in a field full of weeds and thorns. “I picked one up and realized he was not breathing. I summoned assistance” the witness said.
