For the second time in a number of days, Israel on Sunday released another Hamas minister from prison, an act that coincided with Hamas’ cynical release of an animated video addressing Gilad Shalit’s prolonged incarceration.

According to Arab media reports, Anwar al-Zaboun, a resident of the Beit Lechem region, was released from Ketziot Prison.

Like the other Hamas ministers taken into custody, Israel hoped he would serve as a negotiating pawn for the release of Gilad Shalit who is about to mark his fourth anniversary in prison, on June 26, 2010.
