Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday, Memorial Day, stated the government will not stop efforts towards bringing captive soldier Gilad Shalit home. The prime minister used the opportunity to make another call to Hamas, to release Shalit, who was taken captive during a cross border terrorist attack in the Kerem Shalom area in June 2006.

Shalit activists protested outside the Prime Minister’s Office earlier in the week, calling on the government to bring the soldier home. Mr. Noam Shalit, Gilad’s father, called on the prime minister to bring Gilad home before he joins the bereaved parents chas v’sholom.
