Court Rules Against Chareidi Schools in the Capital

The Jerusalem Administrative Court has ruled in favor of an organization affiliated with Israel’s Reform Movement against chareidi schools in Yerushalayim, supporting the organization’s allegations that schools affiliated with the chareidi community enjoy too large a portion of the budgetary pie. Joining the petition against chareidi schools recognized by the government was Menachem Mazuz, the former attorney general.

The ruling surrounding a recent 25% increase granted to chareidi schools, being challenged by the Center of Jewish Pluralism.

  1. YaelFeit – My word lady, do the Chareidim have to get the whole pie for it to be equitable. You allow our theology to confuse your political judgements.

  2. #2 What percent are the reform (compared to the Chareidim) in Jerusalem, that the Chareidim get “to much” of the budgetary pie?

  3. I am sure that it was all done legally in the City Hall, as ther is an anti-Charedi legal advisor by the name of Chaviliyo (who has gotten on alot of peopl’s nerves, not only Charedi) wjho would not have allowed it,

The reform movement has hardly any foothold in Yeurshlaim and yes, the Charedim have a large amount of students Kein Yirbu. Doed the Reform movemnet think that by going to court (even if they win) it will make any difference as to how many Charedi students there are??? They have no chance in winning that! It just shows how paranoid they are!!)
