El Al on Monday is resuming service to four European destinations as the volcanic cloud is dissipating over those areas. The areas to which service is being renewed are Sophia, Barcelona, Warsaw, and Kiev. As of Monday morning, flights to other destinations in Europe are not being renewed.

Officials reported on Sunday night that some 40,000 Israelis were standard as European air lanes shut down last Thursday, the result of volcanic activity in Iceland. The national carrier and other Israeli airlines indicated they will do their utmost to bring residents back home in time for Memorial and Independence Days.
