Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennet announced he plans to move up party primaries. It appears the primaries will take place shortly following Pesach. While it is not clear why Bennet is moving up elections, one may opine this is due to reports that a criminal inducement is likely against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu regarding one of the investigations against him, and this may lead to elections. Hence, Bennet wants to be in position.
At present, Rabbi Yitzchak Zaga is competing for the top spot against Bennet. Zaga made the announcement months ago, as was reported by YWN-ISRAEL.
